HEAD OF LEARNING - MATHEMATICS
Position Details
St Brigid’s College is committed to providing excellence in education within a Christ-centred environment. St Brigid’s supports students in their growth as contributing members of the community whilst living the ethos of the Catholic faith within the spirit of Mercy.
We are seeking a dedicated and engaging Head of Learning Mathematics for 2027. The successful applicant will have the capacity to enable high levels of learning for all students in Year 7 – Year 12 in Mathematics.
Selection Criteria
• Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Mercy Education Limited.
• Ability to teach Mathematics to Year 7 -Year 12 students.
• Be an exemplary, enthusiastic educator who empowers their peer colleagues in the planning and implementation of teaching programs that improve student learning.
• Have a broad repertoire of teaching strategies that engage all students and can share this with the Mathematics team.
• Utilises data informed practices in their leadership.
• Understands the importance of developing positive relationship with students, staff and parents, and can demonstrate evidence of such actions
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills that foster a supportive and safe learning environment.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the academic and pastoral wellbeing of staff and students at the College.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organisational, leadership and administrative skills.
Desirable:
• Ability to teach ATAR Mathematics in Years 11 and 12
