HEAD OF YEAR

Position Details
Bunbury Catholic College is well established as a leading educator, offering a well-rounded Catholic co-education for Years 7 to 12 in the heart of Bunbury.

The Head of Year (HOY) is a member of the Pastoral Leadership Team at the College and provides pastoral leadership within the year level and the wider school community. The HOY is accountable to the Principal through the Deputy Principal (Pastoral Care) for the efficient and effective leadership and management of the year level. Responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the College ethos, values, policies, priorities, and procedures.

SALARY: As per the WA Catholic School Teachers Enterprise Agreement 2023 – CEWA Salary Schedule – Teachers Plus Promotional Positions Allowance Category 2 – Level 1

The Head of Year acts in accordance with the College’s Code of Conduct, serving as a role model in their capacity as a Middle Leader while maintaining a positive profile for the Learning Area within the College and Community. 

The Head of Year undertakes responsibility for staff within their year level. This includes maintaining professional standards, supporting professional development of staff and participating in the appraisal process.  

The Head of Year manages and issues pastoral directives as appropriate and whenever required.
