An exciting opportunity exists for an outstanding educational leader to join St Oscar Romero Catholic Primary School, Drouin as our inaugural Deputy Principal.

Opening in January 2027, St Oscar Romero is a brand-new Catholic primary school located in the growing Ferntree Ridge estate in Drouin. This is a rare opportunity to help establish the culture, vision and educational excellence of a new learning community from its very beginning.

Working alongside the Foundation Principal, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping a school where faith, learning and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.

About St Oscar Romero Catholic Primary School

Stage One of the school is currently under construction and includes contemporary administration and learning spaces, covered hard courts and an oval. The school will welcome approximately 100 students in its first year, with long-term enrolment projected to grow to around 350 students.

As the 41st Catholic primary school in the Diocese of Sale and the second primary school within St Ita's Parish, St Oscar Romero will provide high-quality Catholic education to families in the southern area of the parish.

Named after St Oscar Romero, Archbishop of San Salvador, the school draws inspiration from his enduring witness to faith, justice, compassion and service. His legacy continues to inspire communities committed to peace, reconciliation and dignity for all.
