Role description

Selection Criteria

KSC1: Demonstrated experience in providing counselling, wellbeing support and case management to children, young people and families experiencing social, emotional, behavioural and mental health challenges. 

KSC2: Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with students, families, school staff and external agencies, including coordinating referrals, facilitating multidisciplinary collaboration and advocating for students and families to access appropriate education, health and community services.

KSC3: Demonstrated knowledge and application of evidence-informed, trauma-informed and tiered interventions to support student wellbeing, including the ability to design and deliver targeted programs, contribute to a whole-school approach to wellbeing, and build staff capacity through professional learning and expert advice.

KSC4: Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian Department of Education policies and procedures relating to student wellbeing, Child Safe Standards, Disability Inclusion, mandatory reporting, and contemporary approaches to supporting the wellbeing, inclusion and engagement of primary-aged students.

KSC5: Demonstrated experience in collecting, analysing and responding to wellbeing, engagement and attendance data to identify student needs, inform targeted interventions, monitor impact and contribute to continuous improvement in student wellbeing outcomes.
