Minyip Primary School, established in 1879, is located in the small rural town of Minyip in Victoria's Wimmera region, approximately 50 km north of Horsham. The school caters to 23 students, with enrolments remaining steady over the past few years. 
Our school grounds feature two main buildings: one serving as the administration hub and the other dedicated to teaching and learning. The teaching building includes two classrooms connected by an open learning area. Additional facilities include an Art room and a multi-purpose portable building. Outdoor spaces boast an adventure playground, a rebound wall, and an artificial turf court marked for netball and basketball. 
Minyip Primary School employs 4.7 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff, comprising the teaching Principal, 3 teaching staff, 2 of which job share 0.5 each, two classroom Education Support (0.8 FTE & 0.5 FTE), and 0.5 FTE Education Support (ES) office staff, 0.5 FTE MHiPS staff. In 2026, the Student Family Occupation Education (SFOE) index is 0.5220, indicating a high level of socio-educational needs. 
Our curriculum framework is fully aligned with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and is tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. We offer instruction across all learning domains, including a second languages, Japanese. Beyond academics, we provide a rich extra-curricular program that includes football, netball, soccer, swimming, and various other sporting activities. Students also participate in the Garden Club and a comprehensive camps and excursions program that engages all year levels.
