About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Design and Technology Teacher to join our Secondary Years team from September to December 2026.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to engage students in innovative and practical learning experiences that develop creative thinking, design processes, technical skills and real-world problem-solving capabilities. Working collaboratively with colleagues and College leaders, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs, support student wellbeing and achievement, and contribute to a culture of educational excellence aligned with the College's future-focused vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology programs that align with curriculum requirements and contemporary industry practices. 
  • Develop practical and theoretical learning experiences that foster creativity, innovation, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Differentiate teaching, assessment and learning activities to support the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Monitor student progress, utilise assessment data effectively, and provide timely feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Support the pastoral care, wellbeing and positive behaviour development of students within and beyond the classroom. 
  • Contribute actively to curriculum development, co-curricular programs and the broader life of the College.
