Graduate Teacher Program 2027
Full-time, Fixed Term (2 years)
Commencing Term 1, 2027
The Geelong College is excited to commence the recruitment of our next cohort of Graduate Teachers as part of our 2026 Graduate Program. Successful applicants will enjoy a unique two-year introduction to teaching by actively participating in all aspects of our rich and vibrant College community, that caters for students in Early Learning up to Year 12.
The program offers graduate teachers the direct support of school leaders and experienced teachers. In addition, successful applicants will receive the direct support of an experienced teacher mentor who is available to coach you through the experience.
Very importantly, the College will help guide graduates to transition from provisional to full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
Successful applicants will be offered a full-time (1.0FTE) two-year, fixed-term contract at The Geelong College.
Eligibility Criteria
All candidates must meet the following criteria to apply for the Graduate Teacher Program;
- Have completed the Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting and other Obligations module - The Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET);
- Be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident;
- Be able to provide academic transcripts for all university qualifications (related to education and other fields);
- Be able to obtain provisional registration with the Victorian Institute of Teachers (VIT) before commencement;
