English Leader of Learning

St Edward’s College is an all-boys Catholic Independent School on the Central Coast of NSW with an enrolment of 1,000 students in Years 7 to 12. The College is governed by Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) and provides a wonderfully rich and liberating education that fosters student spirituality and promotes the values of inclusivity, justice and solidarity. The College is driven by staff who are committed to making a difference in the education of boys. The role of the English Leader of Learning is to promote the College and Edmund Rice ethos through strategic leadership of the College learning agenda in collaboration with the Leader of Learning Team and teaching staff. In so doing, the English Leader of Learning demonstrates an affinity with the Catholic philosophy and values as expressed in the Charter for Edmund Rice Schools and promotes excellence in teaching and learning practices especially as they relate to the education of boys.  The English Leader of Learning reports to the Directors of Teaching and Learning, Curriculum and Professional Learning.  The English Leader of Learning is an excellent teacher in terms of knowledge of contemporary teaching methodology, creativity and innovation, classroom management, methods of evaluation and professional development.
