Role description
The Executive Director of Schools, Diocese of Wollongong, invites applications from suitably experienced educators for this significant leadership position at Magdalene Catholic College commencing 27 January 2027, for a 2 year fixed term contract. The successful candidate will also be offered a permanent teaching position.
Magdalene Catholic College is a co-educational Catholic College serving the Macarthur area. The College provides a wide curriculum to approximately 1160 students as we strive for academic success while offering many sporting, cultural and extracurricular opportunities. Our College Crest reflects our College motto, Quia Dominum vidi which is a Latin phrase that translates to "Because I have seen the Lord". The College crest and motto are constant reminders that we are called to discipleship, to witness the presence of Christ in our daily lives through both word and action.
The Director of Mission and Identity (Middle Leader 3) shares responsibility for the development of the Catholic life of the school, leadership of its vision, mission and strategic priorities and contribution to the management of the school. The successful candidate will:
- Advance the evangelising and catechising mission of the school in collaboration with the Principal, Parish Priest, and other Catholic lay leaders, strengthening connections between the college, parish, staff, and families to deep their understanding of and commitment to the Catholic faith.
