Role description
Western Australia is a great place to live and teach. Our public schools are located across our vast state, offering opportunities to live and work in diverse regional communities.
Our purpose is clear: every student, every classroom, every day.
The Department of Education is seeking applications from teachers currently living in New Zealand, who want to relocate to Western Australia. The appointment pool is for teachers wanting to teach in a variety of regional schools only.
Teaching in Western Australian public schools comes with great benefits.
About the Register
The New Zealand Teacher Employment Register identifies teachers who meet the eligibility requirements for employment in regional Western Australian public schools.
Teachers who meet the required eligibility criteria and provide the necessary documentation may be included on the register. Inclusion on the register is not an offer of employment and does not guarantee appointment to a teaching position.
When suitable vacancies arise, schools may consider teachers whose qualifications, experience, visa status and location preferences align with their workforce needs.
Who Can Apply?
You may be eligible if you:
- are qualified as an Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary or Education Support teacher
- are interested in teaching in regional Western Australian public schools
- meet the qualification and teacher registration requirements
- meet the visa and working rights requirements relevant to your circumstances.
