About the role

Sacred Heart Primary School is seeking a passionate, innovative, and enthusiastic Visual Art Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Diamond Creek. This is a part-time position, working 2 days per week, commencing the beginning of Term 3, 2026.

At Sacred Heart, we believe that art is a vital medium for self-expression, critical thinking, and joy. We are looking for an educator who can bring our art program to life, fostering a love for colour, texture, and imagination in students from Foundation to Year 6.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a Dynamic Curriculum: Design and implement a stimulating, inclusive Visual Arts program aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
  • Foster Creativity: Cultivate a supportive environment where every student feels confident to explore their artistic potential.
  • Showcase Student Talent: Coordinate school art displays and contribute to community art events or exhibitions.
  • Manage Resources: Oversee the art budget, maintain inventory, and ensure the art room is a safe, organised, and inspiring space.
  • Collaborate: Work alongside a supportive and collaborative staff team to integrate creative thinking across the school.
