Casual Relieving Teacher

About the Role

A Casual Relief Teacher will enjoy the variety of each day being different; and will provide support across a range of subject areas.  You will be welcomed into the College community and guided through established practices and expectations.

Some of the Key Responsibilities of this role will include:

• To provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children;
• To provide students with a rich and engaging educational experience;
• Deliver prepared lessons across Year 7 to 12 classes
• Support student learning and maintain positive classroom environments
• Follow established routines and school procedures
• Collaborate with teaching teams and school leadership
• Contribute to our caring, faith-centered school community

Key Selection Criteria

• Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration;
• Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
• Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable;
• Demonstrated ability to quickly build rapport with students and colleagues.
