St Mary of the Cross MacKillop Primary School is seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Education teacher to join our school and current PE team. This role is part time, Monday & Tuesday, teaching Prep- Year 4. The successful applicant will deliver a physical education program that is skills-based, promotes inclusivity, maximises participation and allows for personal growth.

The Physical Education Teacher will:

  • Plan and implement a sequenced and comprehensive PE and Health program in line with the  the Victorian Curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with other school PE teachers to align PE programs, whole school approaches and use of facilities and resources
  • Modify and adjust instructions, skills, rules and scoring systems to promote fair play, safety and participation for all. 
  • Assist staff as needed with weekly sport sessions. 
  • Educate students in the correct use and care of resources.
  • Organise, coordinate and lead sporting events such as interschool sports, gala days, district events etc.
  • Apply for, utilise and acquit grant funding and budgets if required.
