About Us
St Dominic’s College is a Catholic school for boys in Years 7 - 12, conducted in the Edmund Rice tradition as part of Edmund Rice Education Australia. With an enrolment of approximately 1,000 students, the College is committed to providing a caring environment where excellence in education is pursued in the context of Catholic values and the spirit of Blessed Edmund Rice.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking Casual Secondary Teachers to support the College on a day-to-day basis, replacing permanent or temporary staff on short-term leave. You may be required to teach across a variety of subject areas, depending on College needs.
Graduate teachers are strongly encouraged to apply. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience and be supported by experienced educators in a collaborative and welcoming school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the College’s curriculum and teaching requirements.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student engagement and development.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with the College’s policies.
- Assessing and providing feedback on student progress as required.
- Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to the broader school community where possible.
Essential Criteria:
- NESA-accredited Secondary Teacher (please indicate subject areas).
- Approval to teach in NSW.
- Demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching.
