Role description

About the role

Whitefriars College is a Catholic boys school in the Carmelite tradition. We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Psychologist, commencing Term 3, 2026.

The College Psychologist shall be primarily responsible to the Principal through the Deputy Principal – Students.

This role will provide professional psychological support to students, parents, and staff, contributing to the wellbeing, learning, and personal development of young people within a supportive Catholic school environment.

Working collaboratively with families, teachers, and College leaders, the Psychologist will deliver counselling, consultation, assessment, and intervention services to support student wellbeing and educational outcomes. The role may also involve liaising with external agencies and specialist service providers, as well as conducting cognitive and educational assessments to identify students’ learning strengths and support appropriate educational adjustments and provisions.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to student wellbeing while working within a collaborative and highly regarded wellbeing team.

This is an ongoing part time (0.6 FTE – 0.8 FTE) position.

It is expected of all employed at Whitefriars College that they accept and support the ethos of the Carmelite order, and activities directed at the broader aims of the College.

Whitefriars College is a Child Safe School. This community is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.
