Details: The Local Policy team leads the delivery of Set up for Success: An Early Childhood Strategy for the ACT and drives other key local policy initiatives. Our work involves ensuring families have to access high quality early learning and supporting the early childhood education and care sector to thrive.

We’re looking for a motivated and professional officer to take on a fast-paced, varied role supporting the design and implementation of important early childhood initiatives in the ACT.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare high-quality written products, including briefs, policy advice and stakeholder correspondence.
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic policy environment.
  • Contribute to strategic policy development and problem-solving on complex issues affecting the early childhood sector.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across government and the community, including acting as secretariat for an external stakeholder group.
