Role description

Purpose of the role

The role of the Primary Teacher Aide (SWAN) is to support targeted literacy and numeracy intervention, EAL/D learners, and small-group programs across the primary school.

About the position

This is a permanent full-time (term-time) position, where the successful candidate will work 6.5 hours per day / 5 days per week during school terms.

The Teacher Aide (Students With Additional Needs) plays a vital role in helping students achieve success through provision of targeted intervention, assessment support, and collaborative teamwork. The position involves working closely with students, teachers, coordinators, and families to provide high-quality learning support. This position will be based on the Primary Campus and will be performed under the direction/guidance of the SWAN Coordinator.
