Role description

About the role

As a Catholic Primary School we value respect, responsibility, resilience and kindness in students and staff and we are seeking to employ an experienced and talented classroom teacher commencing Term 3 2026.  The position is being vacated by a teacher who is going on leave at the beginning of Term 3.

You must exude a passion for teaching, an excitement for seeing your students grow and learn, and be a real contributor to the learning and teaching life at SFX School.

The successful applicant be committed to:

* Teaching and learning within a Catholic Parish faith community and guiding students in their faith and Sacramental journey

* Be familiar with the MACS Vision for Instruction and show elements of this approach in their daily teaching

* Plan a Learning and Teaching program that meets the needs of students so as to actively engage them in their learning

* Working collaboratively with other members of the Middle School team and then drive Maths & English learning and teaching at SFX School.

* Explicit teaching in Mathematics and English, extending students at their point of need and enabling them to reason and problem solve with fluency and confidence

* As a classroom teacher have a passion for Literacy improvement, demonstrating highly level knowledge and skills in reading / writing cycle which is responsive to student needs and improved student outcomes

* Planning Inquiry Learning that allows students to better understand and contribute to society and the world in which they live
