Role
Role PurposeThe School Site Maintenance Officer supports the effective operation of the school by ensuring facilities and infrastructure are maintained in a safe, functional and compliant condition. The role contributes to the provision of a safe learning and working environment for students, staff and visitors.
The position operates under general direction and is responsible for performing a range of maintenance and operational support tasks across the school site.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities1. Maintenance & Repairs- Undertake routine maintenance and minor repairs to buildings, fixtures and fittings.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance requirements and potential risks.
- Coordinate and support minor works projects as directed.
- Support implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Identify and report hazards and ensure timely follow-up.
- Maintain compliance registers and maintenance records as required.
- Assist with emergency management procedures and safety checks.
- Implement a preventative maintenance schedule for infrastructure and equipment.
