Role description

Are you passionate educator keen to work with girls and young women and share your love of Sport and Personal Development and Health?

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and passionate PDHPE teachers for a full-time, permanent position in our energetic Sport and PDHPE department, commencing at the start of 2027. This role involves teaching PDHPE classes as well as being actively involved in our IGSA sport program throughout the year.

As an experienced classroom teacher, the successful applicant will have a strong knowledge and understanding of the NSW PDHPE Curriculum and demonstrated recent success in the secondary classroom, including in the Stage 6 PDHPE and/or Health and Movement Science Courses. They will be innovative in their approach to teaching, collaborative in their practice and ready to contribute to a dynamic team. The successful applicant will be able to model high standards of professional expertise and inspire their students. A willingness to teach Stage 3 classes may be an advantage for this role.

The successful applicant will also be a keen sportsperson, with a commitment to instilling this enjoyment and passion in students in a broad range of sporting contexts. They should have experience coaching girls’ sports, familiarity with the IGSA sporting programs, and be comfortable in managing a team of sports coaches. This component of the role involves conducting training sessions before/after school as well as involvement in the competitions on Saturday morning.
