Role description
The successful applicant will be an engaging educational leader who demonstrates a deep commitment to Catholic Education and a passion for fostering a culture in which students, staff and families flourish. They will be remunerated in accordance with the Category B Deputy Principal Salary Level 2–1, reflecting the responsibilities and expectations of this leadership position.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading the mission and Catholic identity of the school.
- Developing the capacities of others, individually and in teams, to strive for excellence in instruction and engagement.
- Driving strategic improvement initiatives aligned with the School Improvement Plan and Annual Action Plan.
- Promoting high-quality learning and teaching, with a strong emphasis on explicit and direct instruction.
- Supporting student wellbeing through evidence-based approaches, such as the Berry Street Education Model and Positive Behaviours for Learning.
- Building strong partnerships with staff, students, families and the wider community.
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive and collaborative school culture.
- Assisting in the effective management of human, financial and physical resources.
