Role description

Full time Permanent Position from 2027

“Central Coast Grammar School (CCGS) is committed to the safety, protection, and wellbeing of all our students and children involved in activities at CCGS. The School requires all prospective school staff to contribute to creating a culture of child safety and wellbeing and be committed to protecting students from abuse or harm in the school environment”. All CCGS staff participate in annual training in child protection.  All statutory checks and references are required prior to confirmation of employment. 

This a full time / permanent position to commence in 2027. Your previous experience will include teaching Mathematics across all year groups Years 7 to 12, including high level Mathematics in Stage 6 and Extension 1 and 2 is desirable.

The successful applicant will need to possess and demonstrate:

  • Appropriate teaching qualifications and accreditation in New South Wales
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NSW Curriculum
  • Evidence of high level student outcomes up to and including the Higher School Certificate
  • Evidence of data-informed practice to improve student performance
  • Evidence of innovative classroom practices
  • A high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher
  • Commitment and skills in digital literacy
  • Capacity to cater for different learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good administrative skills with a high level of flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to prioritise and work as part of a team
  • A commitment to the strategic direction and ethos of the school
