Reporting to the Head of Senior School, you will lead a cohesive and high-performing team of teachers, establishing clear expectations for excellence while fostering a culture of collaboration, professional growth, accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the English faculty (Years 7–12), including curriculum planning, assessment, reporting, faculty development, and day-to-day faculty operations.
- Champion excellence in teaching and learning, ensuring programs are innovative, evidence based, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Inspire and mentor English teachers in pedagogical best practice, curriculum delivery, classroom management, and professional growth.
Essential Criteria
- Active commitment to the Christian faith and the capacity to seamlessly infuse the school's Christian ethos into leadership, teaching practice, and community relationships.
- Demonstrated record as an outstanding Secondary English classroom practitioner, including proven success in teaching Stage 6 and driving high student achievement through evidence-informed practice.
