Position Location: Burgmann Anglican School, Forde Campus, Corner Francis Forde Boulevard and Hurrell Streets, Forde

Burgmann Anglican School is an Early Childhood to Year 12 School with campuses located at Gungahlin and Forde.

The school prides itself on its innovative and creative approach to curriculum and education and its strong sense of community and pastoral care of the students and their families and the staff of the school. The school has a strong link with the Gungahlin Anglican Church which shares facilities and resources with the school.

Terms

A Leadership Allowance (Level 1) and 0.3 release will be paid, commensurate with the responsibility of the position.

LINE MANAGEMENT

  • Responsible to the Deputy Head of Middle School Learning and Teaching, Head of Middle School and ultimately the Principal.

LEADER OF INNOVATIVE LEARNING (0.3 RELEASE)

  • Proactively foster the development of a cohesive teaching and learning culture which is student focused
  • Oversee implementation of the Australian Curriculum across Years 6-8 and in collaboration with Years 5 and 9
  • Drive and inspire interdisciplinary initiatives, using the principles of Project Based Learning, across each year level
  • Oversee and co-ordinate the scope and sequence within the curriculum to ensure a smooth transition for students through different year levels
