About the Role 

Canberra Grammar School is seeking an energetic and inspiring Drama Teacher to join our Senior School Performing Arts team. 

This is an exciting opportunity to bring stories, characters and ideas to life for students in Years 7–10. Through engaging classroom experiences and practical performance opportunities, you will encourage students to take creative risks, develop their dramatic skills and discover the confidence to express themselves. 

Whether you are an experienced educator or an emerging teacher with strong potential, you will be welcomed into a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and collaborative team committed to outstanding teaching and learning. 

Teaching at CGS extends beyond the classroom. Our teachers know their students as individuals, contribute to pastoral care through the Student House system and participate in the broader co-curricular and community life of the School. The position therefore includes teaching, pastoral and co-curricular responsibilities, with some out-of-hours commitments across the School calendar. 

About You 

  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging Drama programs across Years 7–10
