Role description
Catherine McAuley School is seeking applications from experienced Occupational Therapist to join our student focused, vibrant school community.
This part-time permanent/ongoing 32.5 hours per week, 45 weeks per year position will commence in Week 0 Term 1 2027. Working hours are between 8:00am – 4:00pm, 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Under broad direction, the Occupational Therapist supports school leadership in determining priorities and practices, through the application of specialist professional knowledge, skills and expertise to develop operational strategies and policy to enhance student safety and wellbeing and facilitate successful learning. The Occupational Therapist is a qualified professional, works in consultation with school leaders, to implement and deliver an effective professional service within the school community to support the emotional, social and learning development needs of students.
The Occupational Therapist forms an important part in leading and providing professional support services to students within CESA.
- Provide specialist services to students in area of expertise including conducting and interpreting discipline-specific assessments and evaluations to identify student needs, with the provision of feedback, recommendations and strategy implementation support.
- Provide specialised advice to employees and the leadership team in area of expertise and assist in the development of programs and interventions to be used by educators, other professionals and paraprofessionals
