Role description

Position details:

Sacred Heart Primary School Highgate invites applications for an outstanding Visual Arts Teacher for an initail period of Term Four 2026, with a posibility of this position becoming ongoing. Additionally, this position has the possibility of also being conducted at St Paul's Primary School Mt Lawley for 0.2FTE,  if the suitable candidate is available for both settings.  

Sacred Heart Primary School in Highgate is a Catholic, single stream Primary School for boys and girls from Pre Kindergarten to Year 6. Sacred Heart is an inner city school community, and enjoys a positive relationship with the Sacred Heart, Highgate Parish.  A strong focus on Digital Technologies and a whole school STEM design process exists, and is integrated in classrooms that are supported by contemporary furnishings.  A 1:1 iPad Programme operates in Years 3-6, and learning in the Early Years is supported by iPads in a shared capacity.
Currently, Specialist teachers enrich student learning in Music, Visual Art, Italian, Science, and Physical Education, with a commitment to our award winning Sacred Heart STEM Design Process and STEM Vision for Learning, operating in all classrooms. Founded in 1897 by the Our Lady of the Mission Sisters,  we celebrate our 125th Anniversay this year, and the Sacred Heart School motto of Faith, Truth and Loyalty to Gospel values, embodies our tradition of lifelong learning, for all our students.
