Role description
Position Details:
St Munchin’s School, is seeking to employ a passionate, dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant Principal (12-month temporary position) to join our diverse, committed and vibrant team. St Munchin’s is a co-educational, double-stream Catholic school, founded by the Mercy Sisters. Today the school caters for over 450 learners from Three-Year-Old Kindy to Year Six. The school draws its enrolment from a rich, diverse and multicultural community who strive to learn and grow together in harmony.
Selection Criteria:
We are seeking a Catholic leader who has demonstrated recent leadership success in Catholic schools. Responsibility and working knowledge of the four pillars of QCE and experience in leading and supporting the principal in this delivery is essential. Leadership or Extended Leadership experience in another area/s of expertise i.e. Staff Development, EALD, EYL, Digital Technology, Social and Emotional Wellbeing, School Improvement is desired.
• An understanding and commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education with the ability to lead / support the Religious Education learning area and Catholic Identity of the school with acknowledgement to the charism of the Mercy Sisters.
• Proven success and excellence in classroom teaching and management.
• The capacity to wear “several hats at once!” Be highly organized and capable of delivering the administrative demands required of a senior school leader.
