Role description


This is a permanent part-time (0.2 FTE) position commencing Term 4, 2026

The Role

As a Gardener - Handyperson, the successful applicant will maintain school grounds, including turf areas, garden beds, shrubs and trees, ensuring they are presented in a safe and tidy condition, as far as conditions allow, and provide students and staff with a safe external learning environment. The successful applicant will maintain suitable growing environments for soft landscaping, including gardens, lawns and broader turf areas, and maintain hard landscaping such as courts and paving. They will also mark formal and informal sports areas as required.

The role includes performing minor repairs and maintenance in accordance with Department policies and guidelines and maintaining gardening facilities, equipment, tools and machinery in a neat, clean and serviceable condition. The successful applicant will be required to perform tasks and duties using safe work practices, including following Safety Data Sheet guidelines, in a timely manner and with minimal disruption to students and staff.
