Role description
Teacher – Mathematics
Ongoing Full-Time | Middle and Senior School
The Armidale School (TAS) is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Mathematics teacher to join our dynamic and supportive school community and Mathematics Department on an ongoing, full-time basis. Mathematics is taught as a core subject through to Year 10 and offered through five courses in Years 11 and 12. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced and committed colleagues who value collaboration, innovation and a strong focus on student learning.
The role involves planning and delivering high-quality programs that engage and challenge students with a range of abilities and learning needs. We are looking for a teacher who brings enthusiasm and energy to the classroom, demonstrates strong curriculum and assessment knowledge, and uses a range of teaching strategies and technologies to support student learning. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, monitor and communicate student progress, contribute to curriculum development and be encouraged to continue developing your practice as an educator.
Teachers at TAS contribute to the broader academic, pastoral and co-curricular life of the School. This includes taking responsibility for a small group of students as an Advisor, participating in House activities, assisting with sport and activities, and contributing to excursions, competitions and other school events. These opportunities enable teachers to build strong relationships with students and play an active role in the wider life of the School.
