Middle and Senior School | 1.0 FTE (0.2 FTE HOD allocation)
The Armidale School (TAS) is seeking an outstanding Mathematics educator to lead our dynamic Mathematics Department across the Middle and Senior School. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher and emerging or established leader to shape the direction of Mathematics at TAS, lead a committed team and support students and staff to achieve their best. You will work closely with the Director of Teaching and Learning and other Heads of Department to translate the School’s strategic priorities into high-quality teaching, learning and academic outcomes.
As Head of Department, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership to the Mathematics faculty. You will lead curriculum development and review, oversee assessment and the monitoring of student achievement, analyse data to identify opportunities for improvement, and support initiatives that strengthen Mathematics learning across Years 6 to 12. You will also lead faculty meetings, support and develop teaching staff, identify professional learning opportunities and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and professional growth.
