Role description
Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview is a Catholic boys’ school in the Jesuit tradition. Located on picturesque grounds in Lane Cove, this leading independent school delivers a holistic education for day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.
The College is seeking to appoint an exceptional Stage 3 Classroom Teacher to join our Regis Campus. The Stage 3 Classroom Teacher will bring their innovative teaching practices to create engaging lessons for our junior students, with a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy. In collaboration with the Head of Regis, colleagues and parents, the Stage 3 Classroom Teacher is also responsible for the academic, pastoral, social and spiritual wellbeing of the students in their homeroom.
The position is full-time (1.0 FTE), ongoing commencing 20 January 2027.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The successful applicant needs to have the ability to teach the following course/s:
- Various Subjects across Stage 3, with a strong emphasis on English and Mathematics
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will:
- accredited with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to be eligible to teach in NSW.
- be an outstanding classroom teacher of Stage 3 (Year 5 and 6)
- possess excellent communication skills and easily form positive relationships
- exhibit superb organisational skills, allowing you to cooperatively plan with other teachers to manipulate and interpret school data from a range of sources
- demonstrate experience in implementing Positive Behaviour learning systems in a primary school context to manage student behaviour
