Teacher - Students At Educational Risk

We are seeking to establish a pool of Students at Educational Risk Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

Girrawheen SHS is seeking passionate and dedicated teachers to join our team in a Year 7 Generalist Teacher role supporting students at educational risk. This is a rewarding opportunity for an educator who is committed to improving outcomes for students who require additional academic, social and emotional support to successfully transition to secondary school.

The suitable applicants would teach Year 7 students across English, Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS), and Science. These students are typically working below year-level expectations and require highly effective teaching practices, targeted intervention, and a strong focus on relationship building to support engagement, attendance and achievement.
