Role description


This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027

The Role

Western Australia’s largest K-12 online, blended learning school, is seeking an inspiring, collaborative, innovative and culturally responsive leader for the Head of the Health and Physical Education Learning Area.

The School of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE) is continuing its change journey and the Head Of Learning Area (HOLA) Health and Physical Education will be an instructional curriculum leader and relationship builder, and share the SIDE “deep why” and school values.

The successful applicant will ideally be a collaborative, people-focused and improvement-driven leader, who supports active engagement and learning for all students through a blended learning approach. The applicant should display skills in being an enthusiastic provider of respectful and fearless feedback.

To be suitable for this role, you would lead staff in the effective implementation of the WA Curriculum: Health and Physical Education, and Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses across the learning area. The successful applicant will be required to take on an appropriate teaching load.
