The Role
Western Australia’s largest K-12 online, blended learning school, is seeking an inspiring, collaborative, innovative and culturally responsive leader for the Deputy Principal Primary role.
The School of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE) is continuing its change journey, and the Deputy Principal - Primary will be an instructional curriculum leader, relationship builder and share the “deep why” and school values.
The successful applicant will ideally be a collaborative, people-focused and improvement-driven leader, who supports active engagement and learning for all students through a blended learning approach. The applicant will ideally display skills in being an enthusiastic provider of respectful and fearless feedback.
The SIDE Primary team serves diverse student cohorts with unique contexts and needs. Our students include home-based or travelling students engaged in a full primary program, students based in small regional primary schools accessing the SIDE Primary Support Program in Maths and Science, and newly arrived primary students based in regional areas accessing SIDE for language development through our Primary EALD (English as an Additional Language/Dialect) Program. To be suitable for this role, you would have strong curriculum knowledge and be able to lead staff in the effective implementation of the K-6 WA Curriculum and the EALD Progress Map.
