Role description

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Development and implementation of a dynamic and engaging outdoor nature program for children in the ELC which honours God as our Creator. 
  • Overseeing the set up and resourcing of the outdoor learning spaces and ensuring the areas are inviting and provide opportunities for a range of learning experiences.
  • Develop professional and positive partnerships with the teachers to be able to assist children with their learning and development, complimenting the classroom curriculum and learning outcomes for each child.
  • Assist the Director and Educational Leader to develop and review risk assessments for outdoor learning and nature play as required.
  • Plan and implement nature learning in spaces outside the ELC (this can include the Trinity school site, local parks and the Erindale community garden).
  • Contribute to the documentation of children’s learning and displaying children’s work and their processes respectfully.
  • Establishing of positive partnerships with the children, families and the school and wider community.
  • Actively contributing to a positive and professional team culture in the ELC and across the Trinity School Community, upholding the values of the school at all times. 
  • Complying with all legislative requirements. Ensuring you are aware of all regulations, legislation and centre/school policies and how to apply them in practice.
  • Participating in all ELC activities, using your initiative to complete daily tasks as required to support the team and children each day.
  • Participation in other school activities as directed.
