Role description

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Providing quality, Christian based education and care for each child in accordance with the National Quality Framework.
  • Participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of relevant educational programs and activities in line with the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Participating in documenting children’s learning in various ways (Seesaw, portfolios, classroom displays).
  • Working with the centre’s Educational Leader and Teachers to further develop professional skills and knowledge.
  • Participating in all ELC activities, using your initiative to complete daily tasks as required to support the team and children each day.
  • Actively contributing to a positive and professional team culture in the ELC and across the Trinity School Community, always upholding the values of the school. 
  • Complying with all legislative requirements. Ensuring you are aware of all regulations, legislation and centre/school policies and how to apply them in practice.
  • Participation in other school activities as directed.

Selection Criteria

  • Be a committed Christian with a clear understanding of, and support for, education in a Christian School setting.
  • Have a genuine interest in the welfare of students and also in their social, spiritual and academic development.
  • Have the ability to facilitate and engage children in authentic early childhood programs.
  • Have an understanding of relevant early childhood legislation and regulations which govern the provision of early childhood programs.
  • Have the ability to documentation children’s learning using a variety of methods.
