About the Role

  • Work in conjunction with the classroom teachers, Learning Support Team and Student Wellbeing Team regarding student welfare concerns
  • Develop and implement a coordinated and restorative approach to the pastoral care of students  
  • Support and enhance student leadership opportunities
  • In conjunction with the Head of Junior School and Deputy Head of Junior School - Teaching and Learning , implement the F-6 Social & Emotional Learning curriculum 
  • Support the Head of Junior School to monitor the collective tone of students and have a significant presence in the school 
  • Liaise with other relevant College staff regarding the development and implementation of policies including student behaviour, uniform, standards and policies
  • In conjunction with the Head of Junior School and other Deputy Head, provide leadership to the Junior School staff and be involved in staff performance, progress and reviews where appropriate
