Role description

Position: 2xClassroom Teacher ( 1 Full time teacher and 1 Part time teacher)

Employment Type:  Contract
Salary: In accordance with the Catholic Schools NT Collective Enterprise Agreement 2025.

Position Summary:

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is committed to delivering an excellent Catholic education to students from Early Learning (age 2-5) to Year 6, employing contemporary and best-practice pedagogies and providing high-quality pastoral care and wellbeing while upholding our Catholic Ethos. As a teacher in this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive teaching and learning programs across the entire school. Our teachers are supported to deliver an exceptional education in a dynamic and stimulating environment where every individual is respected and valued.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to deepening the understanding of the Catholic tradition of the school and to building a faith community by bringing a Catholic perspective to all aspects of the role. 
  • Effectively implement the School Teaching and Learning Framework. 
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students based upon the Australian Curriculum. 
  • Use effective teaching strategies and techniques to maximise student learning outcomes. 
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment which is learner centred that promotes student wellbeing and is aligned with relevant curriculum, wellbeing and safeguarding policies, documents and practices.
