Role description

We are currently seeking to employ a Secondary Teacher to join our HSIE department as an Economics teacher. The ability to teach another subject would be an advantage.  The successful applicant must be passionate about making a difference in students’ lives and within our College community.  The position will commence in Term 1, 2027 for 12 months with a view to permanency.

Applicants must demonstrate the following desired skills and capabilities:

* Have a commitment and passion for teaching

* Able and qualified to teach Y11 and Y12 Economics

* A clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools and a willingness to contribute to the faith formation of students

* Facilitate outcomes-based dynamic and collaborative learning experiences using ICT to cater for the diverse learning needs of students

* Implement and evaluate cross-curriculum initiatives

* Highly developed interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff

* Capable of empowering students to be independent and creative learners

* Ability to work effectively in a team environment

* Be engaged in further professional development as part of continual learning and maintenance of Accreditation
