Primary STEM Teacher
At Immanuel Primary School, we are committed to providing education where each child is supported to grow and develop as a whole person. As we prepare for 2027, we are seeking a practical, organised and enthusiastic Reception to Year 6 STEM Teacher, with a specialised focus on Food Technology and Environmental Science, including food and plant technologies, nutrition, food production, sustainability, wellbeing and responsible resource use.
This newly created specialist role involves developing and delivering an engaging, contemporary and integrated curriculum. Intentionally using the resources in our newly built ASPIRE Centre, the STEM Teacher will design learning and teaching that involves practical inquiry, authentic problem-solving and real-world context all in alignment with the ASPIRE teacher capability framework.
As a STEM Teacher, you will:
- Teach within the framework of the Australian Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program.
- Plan and implement student-centered learning that is evidence-based, engaging, and inclusive.
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate STEM learning that builds practical skills, creativity, independence and responsible decision-making within a Food Technology and Environmental Science context.
- Effectively manage the classroom environment to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
