Role description

Location: Stella Maris Catholic Primary School, Shellharbour

A temporary part time position commencing 28 January 2027 until 26 January 2028. The successful applicant will be required to teach Creative Arts - Music, Dance and Drama.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School.
  • Experience in teaching Music in a Primary School setting.
  • Assistance with liturgical events.
  • Ability to implement differentiated learning and assessment experiences for students in the teaching of the NSW Creative Arts Syllabus.
  • Experience in leading school band and choir programs.
  • Positive strategies for managing student behaviour and high expectations for student learning within the SPB4L Framework.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Ability to work flexibly within a shared teaching arrangement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appropriate qualifications in Teaching - Creative Arts (Music Syllabus).
  • Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.
