Role description

Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview is a Catholic boys’ school in the Jesuit tradition. Located on picturesque grounds in Lane Cove, this leading independent school delivers a holistic education for day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.

We are seeking to appoint a teacher of History to join our team. You will be a part of a vibrant educational community which aims to provide students the opportunity to utilise their talents to make a difference in the community.

The College is seeking an enthusiastic teacher of History for a full-time temporary position for Terms 1-4, 2027.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful applicant needs to:

  • be an innovative, engaging and collaborative teacher of History. This position is open to both newly qualified teachers and experienced teachers.

ABOUT YOU

 The successful applicant will:

  • be an outstanding and experienced classroom teacher of History across Stages 4, 5 and 6
  • be accredited with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to be eligible to teach in NSW
  • demonstrate collaborative practices and a commitment to working as part of a team
  • demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional learning
  • demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the Mission and Values of the College
  • be willing to contribute to the Co-curriculum Programs at the College
  • hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and well-being of children and young people.
