About the Role

The successful applicant will:

  • Teach Music across Yr1-6 and Year 10. 
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and learning programs.
  • Inspire students to develop musical skills, knowledge, and appreciation.
  • Foster positive and productive classroom environments.
  • Contribute to the broader life and mission of the College.
  • Assist with ensembles, performances, and co-curricular music opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen and grow the Music Department.

About You

You will bring:

  • Recent experience teaching Music. 
  • Strong curriculum knowledge and effective teaching pedagogy. 
  • Excellent classroom management skills. 
  • Advanced practical skills in one or more instruments. 
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.  
  • A passion for inspiring young people through quality music education.
  • An understanding of and commitment to Christian education and the College's mission and values. 

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualifications. 
  • Current Teacher Registration or eligibility for registration in Western Australia.
  • Current Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to articulate a Biblical worldview in education. 
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid Australian work visa. 

Desirable

  • Experience in Christian education. 
  • Experience directing ensembles, choirs, or instrumental groups.
  • Ability to contribute to a thriving Christian school community. 
  • Ability to teach a string instrument and design, implement, and lead a Year 4 Strings Program, including ensemble development and student performance opportunities.
