Role description

The Head of Pedagogy is a key member of the Studies Office, responsible to the Headmaster and Assistant Head of School - Learning and Teaching for the implementation of teaching and learning, as well as academic excellence in the College. 

The Head of Pedagogy works to improve the academic programs and classroom pedagogies in the College. The Head of Pedagogy is pivotal in leading and managing change, inspiring innovation, promoting excellence and shaping the future direction of the school’s learning and teaching. 

The Head of Pedagogy will be an exceptional educator and leader with a passion for teaching and learning. They will have diverse leadership experience in all facets of teaching and learning including data analysis, acceleration and enrichment, professional learning, and creating a culture of academic excellence. They will be responsible for the facilitation of key learning and teaching initiatives to help improve academic outcomes and the culture of academic excellence at Marist College.

The Head of Pedagogy is offered as an ongoing position commencing Term 1, January 2027.
