Role description

We are seeking an innovative and passionate educational leader to join our Teaching and Learning team as Director of Teaching and Learning – Student Agency and Information Literacy (POR 3).

This position is offered as a four-year Position of Responsibility (POR 3) appointment in conjunction with a permanent full-time teaching role at the College, providing an exciting opportunity to combine educational leadership with ongoing classroom practice. 

Reporting to the Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning, this key leadership role will drive the development of students as independent, self-regulated and future-ready learners. The successful applicant will lead whole-school initiatives that strengthen student agency, information literacy, critical thinking, inquiry, metacognition and learner dispositions, ensuring students are equipped with the skills required to succeed in an increasingly complex and information-rich world. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about empowering students to take ownership of their learning while building a culture of curiosity, critical thinking and lifelong learning. 

You'll be able to:

  • Lead College-wide approaches that develop student agency, learner ownership and self-regulated learning.
  • Promote evidence-informed learning strategies including study skills, retrieval practice, revision, organisation and metacognitive reflection.
