Role description
St Michael’s College is seeking a passionate and collaborative Primary School Teacher - Music and Performing Arts to join our school community in a permanent full-time position.
Candidates should be committed to the mission and vision of St Michael’s College as a Catholic school in the Lasallian tradition, and have excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
The Music and Performing Arts Teacher will work collaboratively with leaders, colleagues, parents/caregivers and others, as applicable, to support positive student learning. The role will involve delivering engaging music and performing arts programs, contributing to educational improvement, and supporting whole-school events and faith-based celebrations.
At St Michael’s College, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to nurture creativity, confidence and participation through music and performing arts, while contributing to the broader life of the Primary Campus and the College community.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the management and delivery of Instrumental Programs in Years 3 and 4
- Providing musical support for Masses, assemblies, celebrations, and liturgical events
- Organising and directing school productions, concerts, and extracurricular performing arts activities
- Leading the Catholic Schools Music Festival Choir, including weekly rehearsals focused on vocal technique, repertoire preparation, and performance skills
