Role description
The Opportunity
St Therese School has the opportunity for a grounds/maintenance worker to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and care of our beautiful grounds, buildings and equipment ensuring they are kept to a high standard. The usual work hours will be 10 hours per week (negotiated days).
Key responsibilities include:
- General garden tasks such as garden and lawn maintenance
- Routine maintenance and safe handling of handheld power equipment
- Repairing and maintaining buildings both internal and external
- Scheduled and unscheduled remedial tasks
- Testing and Tagging (training can be provided)
About You
We are seeking someone who:
- Knowledge and experience of general garden and turf management
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to safely and reasonably take instructions
- Work under general supervision and apply a range of well-developed skills
- Act in a manner consistent with the code of conduct for staff at St Therese School
- The successful applicant must complete our child safe screening process including working with children’s check. Please refer to the Position Information Description for further information
