Role description

The Opportunity

St Therese School has the opportunity for a grounds/maintenance worker to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and care of our beautiful grounds, buildings and equipment ensuring they are kept to a high standard. The usual work hours will be 10 hours per week (negotiated days).

Key responsibilities include:

  • General garden tasks such as garden and lawn maintenance
  • Routine maintenance and safe handling of handheld power equipment
  • Repairing and maintaining buildings both internal and external
  • Scheduled and unscheduled remedial tasks
  • Testing and Tagging (training can be provided)

About You

We are seeking someone who:

  • Knowledge and experience of general garden and turf management
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to safely and reasonably take instructions
  • Work under general supervision and apply a range of well-developed skills
  • Act in a manner consistent with the code of conduct for staff at St Therese School
  • The successful applicant must complete our child safe screening process including working with children’s check. Please refer to the Position Information Description for further information
