Role description
Position Details:
Mater Dei College has the opportunity for a part-time, ongoing Risk and Compliance Officer to become an integral part of the College’s Mathematics Team, ideally commencing Term 4 2026 or Semester 1 2027.
This role is anticipated to be undertaken 3 days per week (to be negotiated), 8:00am to 4:00pm for 41 weeks per year (School Term time plus 1 additional week to be worked during the school holiday period).
We are seeking a proactive, highly organised, dedicated and detail-oriented individual who is committed to supporting a safe, compliant and well-governed College environment.
The Risk and Compliance Officer will be responsible for a variety of tasks across the College’s risk and compliance and Work Health and Safety functions that are inclusive of, but not limited to:
• Monitoring and supporting the College’s compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, standards and policies, and assisting with the implementation of required changes.
• Maintaining and supporting the College’s risk management and compliance frameworks, including risk registers, reporting systems, records and associated documentation.
• Reviewing, developing and maintaining College policies, procedures and operational guidelines to support effective governance and consistent practices across the College.
• Coordinating Work Health and Safety, incident and assurance activities, including hazard and incident reporting, risk assessments, audits, inspections and corrective actions.
