Role description
- Actively support and contribute to the Catholic identity, faith formation and ethos of Our Lady of the River School.
- Have the ability to form positive relationships with students, parents, carers and colleagues and be willing to participate and contribute to the life of the wider Our Lady of the River School and parish community.
- Share a deep knowledge and understanding of contemporary, innovative and inclusive pedagogies that are focused on explicit direct instruction, learner engagement and co-constructed learning.
- Demonstrate experience and capability in using assessment data to support planning and have highly developed skills in designing learning that supports all learners.
- Have qualifications and/or experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs including students with disabilities, identified learning needs and high academic potential.
- Nurture a positive culture for wellbeing with an emphasis on restorative practices, positive role modeling and sound behaviour management.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing development as a lifelong learner and a reflective practitioner.
- Possess good communication skills, to be able to collaborate effectively with staff, students, parents and other stakeholders.
